wmp video playback bad performance

Hello,
I have recently installed Vista Beta 2 build 5384 32-bit EN. Most of it works fine except video playback. It can't be my system (AMD64 X2 4200+,1 Gb RAM, HDU raid0 Sata-II, XFX6800GT PCI-Express16x, Gb Ehternet etc). Even after installing the latest Geforce drivers, the problems with poor video playback remain.
The Aero Theme also gives very poor performance. I even got a message from vista suggesting to turn of windows aero to enhance performance !!!
I won't accept that vista requires more than a 6800GT, so it must be a driver issue. Can anyone help me please ?
(At the moment i'm downloading vista 64 bit to see if that does the trick...)

There is a comment in the nVidia driver release notes for the updated nVidia driver release for Vista beta2 that hardware acceleration of video playback isn't enabled in Vista beta2.
